I love SuperCorp and ReignCorp and I really hate to see a heartbroken Sam or Kara left behind. The obvious conclusion to this is SuperReignCorp and although relatively rare, this is my favorite Supergirl ship.
While for me SuperReighnCorp was primarily Samantha “Sam” Arias/Kara Danvers/Lena Luthor, it can also mean Kara/Lena and a (reformed world killer) Reign. As there is a limited amount of fic, in this Supergirl femslash fanfiction recommendation, I cover both variants of this ship.

The Ultimate Kara/Lena/Sam Series: Know Love’s Exact Reason

There are so many reasons why they couldn’t work – the least of their concern is the type of relationship they end up in – but they do. Oh, they do.
This wonderful series currently consists of 3 stories. It starts as a (great) smut fic and becomes so much more. I had originally written about this series in 2017 (slightly revised for this post) – and it is still my favorite SuperReignCorp story and one of my favorite Supergirl fics ever.

Kara accidentally finds out about Sam and Lena, while she’s trying to do her job, because of her super hearing. It’s no accident, however, that she finds herself involved with them.
This is a very well written story that I enjoyed a lot. It stars sexually confident Lena and Sam (who are kind of friends with benefits) and a slightly overwhelmed Kara, who turns out to be a quick learner.
While it started as a smut fic and there is smut, it becomes more than that in the last and longest chapter, when we see Kara, Lena and Sam outside the bedroom.
Favorite Quote:
“Wait,” Sam says as she stands too, and a few seconds later a paper bag is shoved into Kara’s hands. The reporter looks at it, confused.
“What is this…?”
Sam shrugs as she pours coffee into a tumbler. Kara wonders just how often she’s been here. Clearly, enough to be comfortable with everything. “It’s food, leftovers from last night. Still good though.” Sam picks up a paper bag of her own and walks to Lena, who’s laughing.
“You’re such a mom,” the raven-haired woman says, but her smile turns fond when Sam presses a kiss on her cheek.

That was all they were: the three of them. There hadn’t been much of an urge to put a label on things. Kara thinks what is most important is that they are there for each other, no matter what, and what they have is a mutual thing that all three of them understand.
Although they have not put a name on it and not told anybody, Kara, Lena and Sam have clearly become more than friends with benefits.
This fic is a lovely mix between smut and fluffy and romantic (and sometimes funny) scenes. I love the scene in which Kara and Lena help Ruby with her school project and Ruby asks them about their relationship and both Kara and Lena start to freak out internally.
And the scenes when Alex and later Jess walk in on Kara, Lena and Sam. Or the scene when Kara nearly crashes the car because Sam and Lena are busy on the backseat. Very well written and highly recommended.
Favorite Quotes:
Sam nods. She stretches on her seat just as Kara turns to help Lena with her clothes. There’s a stain on the white couch that’s probably going to be there for some time and she hopes Jess doesn’t notice it.
“I’m going to kill you,” Kara hears Lena mumble. She jabs Sam’s arm with a finger.
“Careful there, darling,” Sam chuckles, taking the woman’s hand in hers and pressing a soft kiss against her knuckles. The way she looks up at Lena is bashful and apologetic — the same expression Kara wears when she comes home after particularly worrying battles. Sam quirks up her lip in a smile. “We don’t want you breaking your fingers.”
Alex chokes on air at that.

This is a collection of wonderful shorts/prompt based drabbles set in the universe established in the first two parts of the series.
Reign’s Epic Redemption Story

Reign was gone. At least that was what everyone believed. Lena saw her die. Kara did, too. A year later, Lena gets an unexpected visit. Something about Reign is different, and that’s not even counting the fact life is growing inside of her. Things will never be the same for Lena, Kara, and Reign, as they deal with a new reality.
Note: Definitely pay attention to the tags and warnings. There is psychological abuse/torture – and while this is not covered excessively, it is a major plot point and it quite intense.
To be clear: while Reign was captured and tortured, her pregnancy is not related to this (no rape).
When Lena allows a pregnant and lost Reign to stay with her, Kara is concerned about Lena’s safety and inadvertently also moves in – she is not jealous because why would she be jealous, Lena and her are just friends after all.
This well written story masterfully blends an enemies to friends to lovers story with a slow and believable redemption ark for Reign (that I really liked) and a intertwines it with a time travelling guests (Superfriends) side story that it resolves in a satisfying way. This is very much a story that is focused on the 3 protagonists – with a bit of Alex and Maggie (Sanvers) as a major supporting characters.
One thing that is a bit difficult for me about Reign/Lena and Reign/Kara/Lena is: what happened to Sam? I really don’t want to see a heartbroken Sam (who was into Lena) left behind.
What I liked in this story is that it addresses Sam and the (potential) conflict and resolved it in a satisfying manner. This is not the focus of the story, but it gets sufficient attentions.

Reign backed away, giving Lena some space. “Is it because I look like her?” she asked, knowing pieces of the past Lena shared with Sam.
Lena took a shower at L-Corp. Not out of necessity, but – no, no, that was precisely what it was. Something she needed to do because, well, she was only human, and she had specific desires, which weren’t easy to deal with while living with two women with super hearing.

Sam looks up from her phone, just long enough to regard Kara with a matching smile, then leans into her when the blonde proceeds to kiss her cheek. The rain is hitting the window with a lot more force now and Kara is certain she can even hear the thunder growl above them. Dangerously so.
“Keep texting her, will you?” Kara asks tentatively, her words nothing but a whisper against Sam’s warm cheek. “I don’t want her to be alone.”
“I don’t either.”
Or; Lena is terribly scared of storms. Kara and Sam take it upon themselves to help their friend out. It’s almost startling, how incredibly warm they all feel every time they end up falling asleep in each other’s arms.
That it was Kara and Sam who were together at the beginning of the story was a nice and unusual take on this OT3. Lena is really rather a minor character in this story. This is maybe more a Kara/Sam story and how they came to add Lena to their relationship.
This is a very well written, romantic, wonderful story. Loved it. Especially the scene Alex gets close to the end of the story.

“I think I can handle it.” The way she says it could almost lead one to believe she might be angry, might be annoyed. But the pout that immediately finds its way onto her lips tells another story. They both know Sam is right, know that the kitchen is definitely not where Kara belongs. They are also aware that the blonde will try her best nonetheless, and it’s enough for Sam to shrug and take the phone call, the smallest of smiles still grazing her lips.
“You do realize she’s been sleeping in our bed for literally weeks now, right?” Another hit when Kara’s expression doesn’t soften any further. “Without pants.”

Lena and Kara are in a relationship. This is a short story how they slowly and without thinking too much get together with Sam.
A well written, short, romantic SuperReignCorp story that I liked a lot. The scene when Alex and Maggie walk in on Sam and Lena kissing is hilarious.

“And so Kara can’t even begin to explain how full her heart feels (close to bursting) when she doesn’t see hurt in Lena’s eyes, but love instead.
And she almost can’t believe when all Lena does is whisper a soft “it’s okay” as understanding seems to wash over her face and she grabs Kara’s hand, too. Notes: … For the purposes of this fic, you get a dream every two years until the year you meet your soulmate(s).
I enjoyed this story and really liked the pretty unusual take on soulmates; and the role that Jess plays in the story.

They weren’t closer to anyone else and they’d talked about trying to date when they’d been in their mid 20’s but had decided not to risk their friendship. Mostly due to the fact that they clearly weren’t each other’s destined as they hadn’t began aging again in each other’s company. Why ruin a perfect friendship when all the signs pointed to someone else being their match?

It seemed almost resigned to its fate and Lena wondered just how it had struggled and how terrified it had been flying through the air.
Reign nodded. “You are worth more than the small creatures I have seen in the city.”
Lena let out a long sigh. She needed a drink.
Babysitting a Kryptonian World Destroyer was a lot more than it was cracked up to be.
For this WIP the author tagged (Lena Luthor/Reign; Kara Danvers/Lena Luthor and Kara Danvers/Lena Luthor/Reign) but so far did not commit to the final pairing. This it may or may not be SuperReignCorp.
